{#120} pink poinsettia

back in october i put out a little survey and a whopping 58.4% {to be exact} wanted to see more inspiration boards on P&P. so your wish is my command …i created a winter bloom series that i will be sharing with you for the next few days. i hope you enjoy these mini inspirations.
for the first winter series board i choose the ever popular poinsettia flower but with a twist- it’s pink instead of the typical red or white.  can you picture a pretty pink winter wedding or {bridal shower} with delicious macarons and sparkly dancing shoes?

{colors} pale pink, white lace, gold glitter
{photos} pink poinsettia {mattew mead style} dress {studded heart } macarons {katie quinn davies}  shoes {sarah postma photography via brenda's wedding blog}, drink stirrers {shana faust}

{#119} winter sage

{season} winter
{colors} sage green, silver, white
{description} good morning friends...i wanted to start the winter collection boards with a light and airy one with a unexpected wintry palette of sage and silver. i love the use of ornaments in weddings for this time of year, they are a great way to use color throughout the decor.  can't you just picture an intimate city hall wedding with this board?

{shoot} cozy autumn table

my lovely friends aleah + nick from {valley & co.} sent over this cozy autumn shoot perfect for the upcoming holiday season. it's full of wonderful ideas and inspiration...so take notes.
here is what aleah had to say about the shoot:
"for this photo shoot we wanted to showcase ideas perfect for an intimate holiday dinner that has a unique and charming character and warm ambiance. our overall look was rustic-inspired and vibrant green apples and assorted pods brought in unexpected texture and flags bursting "cheers!" lent a touch of whimsy. anchored with succulents in copper vessels, any group of guest would enjoy our table and this industrial space in downtown seattle with its oversized single-pane windows and exposed brick walls. tom douglas served up chanterelle tarts and après-dinner coffee liquor drinks, perfect for a late night of enjoyment."
"when dreaming your holiday dinner, think about all of the details to really make your guests feel welcomed and know that you put thought into the celebration. print up menus and place cards and think about a theme that is comfortable, gorgeous, and will encourage your guests to stay and visit for hours."

design: aleah + nick valley {valley & co.}  | floral: anne bradfield, {floressence}
photography: {jeremy leffel}  venue, food, and drinks: palace ballroom by {tom douglas}
linens: {choice linens}  stationery: {izzy girl}  chairs: {aa party rentals}
glass vessels: {glassybaby}   vintage bobbins: aleah's family pieces

{irish coffee}
2 1/2 oz strong, hot coffee
1 1/2 oz irish whiskey
1 tsp brown sugar
1 oz whipping cream
hot caramel for the rim

pour hot caramel into a low, open bowl and roll the rim of an Irish coffee mug in the caramel. pour the coffee, Irish whiskey and brown sugar into the mug and stir. float the whipping cream on top and enjoy!

{day after} ashley + brian

i recently received a sweet email from ashley, a p&p reader who recently got married and wanted to share her day after shoot at tilden park in berkeley, california with us.
i’ll let ashley tell you the rest… “we chose to take our pics the day after our wedding so that we could enjoy every minute of our wedding day without having to take time away from our guests for our pictures, and it turned out to be really nice and much more relaxing to take these pictures after the wedding!  we started off the shoot with a champagne picnic in a grove of eucalyptus trees in the park, and used some of the decor items from our wedding as props (the "love" vase and cb2 glass balls). then we climbed up into an oak tree to finish off the shoot, which was not an easy task in a long flowy dress, but was totally fun! “
how gorgeous is ashley’s hand painted dress from atelier aimee?

the rings were custom made by fabuluster
did you spot the couple's fingerprints engraved inside? cute!!

congrats to ashley + brian!!

thank you ashley for sharing your special day with us.

{real wedding} jacqueline + danny

some couples spend months even years planning their big day and while others simply just elope.  that’s what danny + jacqueline did and asked stacy of {stacy reeves photography} to capture it in film. the couple headed out to their favorite local park where they would walk their dogs early on their relationship to seal the deal.
in their ceremony jacqueline + danny chose to do a handfasting ceremony where they used three ribbon { two represent each of them and the ribbon had bells on the end and represents their marriage together } every time the bells ring, it should remind them of their love and their wedding day.

congrats jacqueline + danny!!

{real wedding} kate + pete

if you love diy weddings, you’re going to love this one sent to me by the husband and wife team at {the raser photography}. the wedding ceremony took place in one the city’s park in front of a beautiful gazebo near a small lake.  kate, a medical student {which is where she and pete met} and etsy shop owner created practically everything from her birdcage veil, the boutonnieres, and the fabric bouquets.

 the necklace was also handmade by kate and given as gifts to her bridesmaids
kate even sewed different colored pom poms out of fabric to decorate the aisle.

congrats kate + pete!!
