love today’s engagement session by marianne of {marianne taylor photography}...not only is the lighting beautiful but i also love how the couple is so relaxed and enjoying a afternoon picnic in richmond park with delicious rhubarb pie and belgian raspberry beer. there were actually times that they thought the shoot was never going to happen because of several obstacles they were forced to reschedule but the shoot finally happened and i think the end result is perfect. 

The couple currently live in london but are planning to marry in finland next year.

thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays...the gathering of friends and family, the turkey and the excuse to wear elastic-waist pants.  i found this amazing thanksgiving dessert buffet from {amy atlas}. i cannot stress how much i love her ideas- the corn husk cookies and pilgrim hat cupcakes are my favorites.

since thanksgiving is a few days away i wanted to choose elements that is a big part of thanksgiving dinner at my house and thats delicious cranberry sauce. cranberries are very vertisle to incorporate in your wedding. use them as guest favors and fill clear glass vases with these tart treats. the rich red color works well with warm browns and oatmeal colors.

i love autumn. it's my favorite season and i wanted to create a wedding board that evokes a feeling of comfort and ease. dried wheat is wonderful to incorporate in your bouquet, centerpiece and boutonnieres and paired with soft peach dahlias make this wedding perfect for fall.

{#15} peacock and persimmon inspiration board

autumn produce is not all pumpkins and squashes but also persimmons. so i created this peacock and persimmon inspiration board to celebrate this overlooked heart-shapped fruit. a simple glass bowl filled with persimmons make a simple and elegant centerpiece but if you want to add a little drama to your event create this arch of peacock feathers and oranges.

here is another halloween-inspired board that is oh so glamorous. i love the use of the white pumpkins and feathers for a masquerade ball feel.  wrap black feather boas down the stair banaster and have a popcorn bar with differents flavors and toppings.
