{shoot} you + me {so happy together}

I couldn't wait to share with you this amazing styled shoot from Luis over at {Lounge Fotografia} I've been a big of his work and I'm so honored to finally have him here.
While conceiving this styled shot, several sceneries came into our minds.  As always happens, when the challenge catches us off guard and totally free to create something beautiful... more than knowing what we wanted, we knew what we did not.  We didn't want something really worked out or deeply thought. Our purpose was to bring about  an atmosphere of lovely feelings.
We wanted something lively, passionate!

It was the first week of April and spring began to bloom.The target had been found - celebrating spring!
And what better for this than a dating session, where passion and spring go together happily, hand in hand?!
From the fallen branch that offered itself as a swing to the wide lawns dotted with old trees and flowering walls, everything seemed to combine to create the perfect mood. A mood where every created setting, every achieved expression, every special sorrounding might be measured only by the heart.

However something was missing - a lovely, loving couple! - together with the most worked out details, so that everything sounded perfect. We decided that the environment had to be drawn in very soft pastel shades.

White cages with little colourful birds should be added as well.   What comes next is the result of the combination of all the referred items. So, we think we can state that spring did finally happen...

{shoot} simply lovely

If I had to describe today's style shoot in two words, it would have to be simply lovely. Oh and I can't forget to mention how I'm completely smitten with the macaroon bar.
The dynamic duo of Pedro and Marina from Fotografamos sent over this lovely shoot to share with you fine folks.  Here's what they had to say...We knew we wanted to do this in Casa de São Sebastião, a venue right here in Aveiro, Portugal because we shot a wedding there in August last year and fell in love with the place and the people. It’s a lovely, classic and elegant early-last-century house completely disguised in the city centre.  With that in mind, we contacted them and explained our concept. The moment José Carlos brings out their beautiful antique tableware, we knew we were set!
Up to that point we had no theme whatsoever, but the color scheme was easy: the tableware was white with grey and gold stripes. So we gathered a talented group of people and started from there.  Since we wanted to work with something a little different from the usual fresh flowers, we called in Marisa, a good friend who does wonderful Origami flowers and she was thrilled to join the team.  Anabela and Rui, from Disha Gourmandise, a local boutique bakery, supplied the delicious macaroons and the simple, delicate and beautiful cake.  Gisela from Lodo designed and developed the stationery. LODO develop original and innovative Design objects and are super fun to work with.  Teresa and João (the models) had their hair styled by Joana from EnVogue hair salon. Makeup was done by Daniela Ramalho, a young rising star in makeup business.

{shoot} fly away with me

Love is definitely in the air with today’s adorable shoot sent by Lottie of Couture Events. This sweet and staged proposal took place at the 6th annual Celina Balloon Festival in Texas. Here’s what Lottie had to say about the shoot. “The day began with a picnic style setting of sweets. The table evoked happiness with bright flowers in turquoise mason jars, a beautiful turquoise vintage radio and yummy lollipops. This is where Tommy popped the question to his love, Cerly. From picnic baskets, globes and streamers, the shoot lacked nothing in sweetness and charm. Stationary details included letterpress cupcake toppers, bottle tags and “Fly Away with Me” banner. Once the couple finished up there, they headed to see the hot air balloon sights. They watched the sun set and cuddled as darkness fell.”

{shoot} ethereal bridal shoot

How are enjoying this week's theme of shimmer, sparkle and shine?  What do you get when you combine a vintage dress purchased in Ebay with a dreamy location and a dash of glitter? Today’s gorgeous ethereal bridal shoot, that is.

twilight wedding inspiration

The time has finally come...Twilight's Breaking Dawn is here!! Whoohoo!  Anyone else excited? I think you are but just won’t admit it.  In a few hours I’ll be seating in the theater with all the young teenagers, their mothers, grandmothers {true story- at the New Moon midnight show, a group of five elderly ladies hooted and hollered when good ol' Jacob came to Bella's rescue and removed his shirt.} at midnight show. Last year with the release of Eclipse, I featured this gorgeous shoot. So this year I couldn’t pass up sharing these two different Twilight inspired wedding shoots that I found on Pinterest {of course!} with you. One is Victorian and elegant and the other is Art Deco with vintage accents but both are equally romantic.
