{style} emerald + aqua

I really love the fresh palette of emerald and aqua in this week's wedding board and equally love them as color inspiration for bridesmaid looks. Which item do you love best?

{style} beautiful back

Most of us focus our attention to the front of the dress- the pretty neckline, strapless or not but my attention always seems to go to the back. I love a beautiful back.  I wasn't all the convinced with Bella's wedding dress in Breaking Dawn until I saw the back. Let's not forget when you are up there exchanging vows, your   back is facing your guests so why not show them some lovely lace, blooming bud or pretty applique?

Have cardigans met their match? I love this look of a blazer clad bride, don't you? The whole ensemble is pretty amazing - add cute glasses and multi-layered necklace to complete the look.

short hair brides

It's funny how a simple conversation can inspire a blog post. Last week I went for my long overdue hair cut and caught a conversation a few chairs away.  The woman was telling her hairdresser that this was going to be her last major haircut because she was growing out her hair for her wedding. {It's funny how my ears perk up of any mention of weddings, etc.} The hairdresser was clearly surprised and insisted that she can still wear her signature hair short for her wedding.  The bride went on and saying that she wasn't sure if short hair looked good with a ...and that's all I heard!!! My hairdresser began blow drying my hair and I could eavesdrop hear the rest of the convo.  So I'm guessing that she said short hair wouldn't look good with a veil but that couldn't be so farther from the truth. I personally love the look of short hair brides especially if it's your signature look. Cute lacy headbands, floral fascinators or birdcage veils would be my go to accessory for short hair brides.
Here are a few I collected from super short pixie cuts to pretty bob lengths.

Are you planning on growing out your hair for your wedding?

{style} lumberjack + jill

I went absolutely crazy when I came across that photo of the bride rocking a flannel shirt. The contrast of the rugged plaid shirt paired with the soft tulle has me completely smitten.  So I was completely inspired by these lumberjack + lumberjill pretties that I had to gather a few of my faves.  Can't you picture bridesmaid's wearing that cute shirt dress, those plaid tights peeking under a wedding dress or how about a plaid accessorized groom?

{style} leather belted brides

Have you recently noticed that brides are trading the soft fabric sashes for brown leather belts? Regardless if they're skinny, wide or double buckle, belts are becoming one of my favorite accessories for autumn brides.

{style} eyewear

I’ve been wearing glasses since I was seven years old and I couldn’t for the day that my parent gave me the okay to wear contacts.  Throughout my adolescence I wouldn’t be caught dead without my contacts but in resent years I’ve returned to trusty frames.   I know that there are a lot of “four eyes” brides out there that opt out to wearing their specs on their wedding day but hopefully this post will inspire you to keep them on! So from one “four eyes” to another you look awesome with them on.  Oh yea and I threw in some groom photos as well because they look so darn cute too!
