#233 | Tale as Old as Time Inspiration Board

I have to admit that I'm super excited to share with you today's board.  If you couldn't tell from the post title it's based on my favorite childhood movie, The Beauty and the Beast.  The live action movie is coming out later this week and I wanted to pay a little homage to Belle and the gang.

There's something soothing about today's board.  The soft palette along with the chamomile and honey is so comforting for a small intimate wedding.

I've created a few Mexican inspired boards over the years but I have to say that this one has to be my favorite.  It's bright with its citrusy color palette and filled with bold floral accents and pretty papel picado. Who wouldn't love this wedding fiesta?

 As winter is begin to slowly approach, I'm trying my hardest to soak in as much autumn goodness as I can. I'm still not ready to let go of my warm caramels and cozy browns just yet. Today's inspiration board has all of my favorite things...a gorgeous palette, delicious treats and leaves me with a wonderful sense of warmth.

Happy Monday, friends! How was your weekend? Today the weather is expected to reach 90 degrees! Huh? What the heck happened to Spring? I really hope it doesn't last because nothing beats a cool and comfortable 70 degrees. But I guess it's better than being knee deep in snow. So I'll make the most of it with the pretty board that fills my computer screen with sunshine.

I created this board last year for Megan of {Forget me Knot Weddings} and it still is one of favorites. I wanted to create something that still remained true to Valentine's Day but with a little twist.  Love its clean and modern color palette of yellow, cream and taupe.  These bright and cheerful colors also reminds me that Spring is just around the corner.

Last year I was a bit obsessed with bright cheerful yellow weddings and don't get me wrong, I still love them but I see a softer more buttery yellow being seen in 2012 weddings.

Who's ready for some autumn inspiration boards? I tried working on some light and summery boards but they weren't quite adding up so I moved on to work on this one instead. I first came across that dried pineapple flower photo weeks ago on Pinterest and instantly inspired. I love the delicate lacy details and the bits of amber sprinkled throughout the board.  Why can't autumn be here already?

{description} I'm continuing share with you some inspiration boards that I recently created for some blogger friends. Today's board was first seen on {Wild & Precious} a few weeks ago.  Being a Jersey girl my summers are usually spent going down the shore walking down the boardwalk, people watching while munching on some of my favorite treats like salt water taffy and cotton candy. I wanted the board to have a bit of a retro feel with soft shades of pastels which makes for a perfect summer palette for all you boardwalk brides.

{description}  Today's lively inspiration board has me wanting to play hooky and head down to the boardwalk.  I turned up the color volume with this bright and fun color palette. Pretty pinks make their appearance practically everywhere and I love how the chevron table runner adds a graphic element to the table.

{description} Doesn't this board make you want to dive right in? I'm in love with this color palette {if you haven't realized that by now}. Nothing beats a backyard wedding especially if it has a fabulous pool to take center stage. Wouldn't it be wonderful to sit pool side with your guests and enjoy a cocktail {or two} and nibble on some finger food in this casual and intimate setting? If it gets too hot you can always jump in...right?

{description} It must be summer because I'm craving some good old fashion BBQ and with Fourth of July fastly approaching wouldn't a BBQ themed be so appropriate? I choose a bright palette of primary colors to add a touch of kitsch to the event especially if your going to have a big event such as a wedding or a birthday party during a holiday weekend why not allow your guest to kick back and relax.

{description} Last week I posted a mini poll on P&P Facebook page asking what inspiration board theme you'd like to see and "tropical/beach" was tied with "vintage".  So I decided on this Island Lovin' board for this week's post. I had the pleasure of attending a destination beach wedding a few years back and would have to say that it was by far one of my favorites. Yes, we walked barefoot in the sand and had amazing cocktails waiting for us when we arrived at the reception but nothing beats witnessing the couple exchange vows on the beach with a handful of close family & friends.

{description} I wanted to create a different beach inspired board without the typical seashells or a blue color palette. Yellow is such a happy color, don't you agree?  I especially love this warm golden yellow that is more sophisticated than its brighter counterpart. I love simple details too and keeping things minimal for this wedding like sweet photo centerpieces showcasing the couples memories together makes me smile. You know what else makes me smile, that gorgeous yellow dress blowing in the wind. Swoon!

{description} Sorry for the missing Friday Faves post but I couldn't end the week without a little Derby inspiration. {description} i had this board in the back burner for quite some time now and i thought it was finally time for it's debut. i fell in love with the images of the four young ladies wearing those gorgeous wool coats and white tights and thought that it was a great look that bridesmaids can mimic for chilly winter weddings. the softness of the color palette also adds a sense of coziness to the board and at the end of the night the combination of delicious hot cocoa and charming hand warmers will definitely keep your guests nice and toasty for the ride home.

{description} destination boards are back and it's not secret that i'm in love with paris or any other romantic european city for that matter. for this inspiration board, i wanted to focus in keeping the wedding casual and elegant at the same time. a light pistachio green is used throughout the board and the color is picked up on the earthy succulents and stationary as well in the desserts.

{description}  it's a pretty crummy day here in the east coast but that hasn't stopped me from loving my favorite season. i dug up this inspiration board i did a while back for my good friend kristi and thought it would be the perfect boost for this dreary day. i love the palette of warm plums and honey and with velvet accents scattered around adds lovely richness and texture.
