I've created a few Mexican inspired boards over the years but I have to say that this one has to be my favorite.  It's bright with its citrusy color palette and filled with bold floral accents and pretty papel picado. Who wouldn't love this wedding fiesta?

What can I say, as much as I love colorful and creative weddings I have a not so secret soft spot for vintage inspired weddings. I love the use of heirlooms from family members to be incorporated in the wedding like wearing your mother's lace veil or topping your cake off with your grandparents' vintage topper.

Happy Monday, friends! How was your weekend? Today the weather is expected to reach 90 degrees! Huh? What the heck happened to Spring? I really hope it doesn't last because nothing beats a cool and comfortable 70 degrees. But I guess it's better than being knee deep in snow. So I'll make the most of it with the pretty board that fills my computer screen with sunshine.

Lately, I've been craving spring so badly...the blooming trees, the perfect weather oh I love it so much! I also love creating bright spring inspired boards. This board has me dreaming of a sun filled garden wedding with a refreshing color palette of emerald and aqua.

Wow I can't believe that Christmas is almost here. Is it me or did time fly really fast this year? I'm not the biggest fan of red {unless we're talking about my favorite soccer team} but when it comes to my wardrobe or decor, to me a little red goes a long way.  Sprinkle in some hints on rich emerald green and you have yourself one festive winter wedding.

Last month I came across my very first journal that I kept with idea before I began P&P. I actually thought I  tossed it but there it was scribbled up with inspiration board ideas and different color palette combinations that I loved.  So I decided to bring {Pretty Palettes} to life and make it a new series {technically not new because I did ONE back in September 2009 and never went forward with it until now}.  I know...bad blogger!! I hope they can help you decide on a color scheme for your wedding, party or even home decor.

It's been a while since I posted a board with a green palette. You might find this hard to believe but I first started it back in August. Gah!  I often create a board inspired by the next season in anticipation for all the pretties that it brings. So I guess you can say that today's board honors all my favorite autumn things - caramel {duh} tweed, twine and champagne {ok so that's for every season}.

{description} I'm still having trouble getting back to the blogging flow and Hurricane Irene didn't help either so I'm going to share a board I created a few weeks ago for my sweet friend, Courtney Dial from {Pizzazzerie}. She asked if I would create one to assist her in planning for her June 2012 wedding. Of course I jumped at the opportunity. Courtney knew exactly what she wanted... a sophisticated color palette of black and white stripes and kelly green accents with traditional southern flair.

{description} A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure to guest post for my dear friend Kristi {Luna & Chloe Weddings} while she was away. I created this wedding board inspired by my love of Italy and its delicious cappuccino.  Just the word alone is romantic and has me swooning.  The soft coffee color is warm and inviting just like the beverage and plays nicely with the pistachio too!

I hope you don't mind but no worries the summer isn't over and I have a feeling one or two boards might creep back in. Today I'm dreaming of a lakeside wedding. Doesn't that sound delightful? A woodsy backdrop, pretty hand-me-down china and a canoe getaway is all I need.

{description} Last week I posted a mini poll on P&P Facebook page asking what inspiration board theme you'd like to see and "tropical/beach" was tied with "vintage".  So I decided on this Island Lovin' board for this week's post. I had the pleasure of attending a destination beach wedding a few years back and would have to say that it was by far one of my favorites. Yes, we walked barefoot in the sand and had amazing cocktails waiting for us when we arrived at the reception but nothing beats witnessing the couple exchange vows on the beach with a handful of close family & friends.

Collect various tin can and use them as vessels for your centerpieces, they're graphic and charming at the same time.

{description}You probably figured out what my inspiration for this board was just by the title alone.  Can anything be better than a margarita especially with a nice salted rim? I love how the color palette is light and soothing. I say let's celebrate 5 de Mayo on the beach. Olé!!

I first spotted those adorable quilted cakes in the latest issue of Martha and knew I had to create a board with those colors. I love how flirty that layered ruffled dress is and wouldn't your groom look handsome wearing one of those colorful bowties.
