{friday faves} window shutters

Happy Friday Friends!!
I was glad to read that you all love vintage windows as much as I do. This week is more of a continuation of last week because it's all about window shutters inspiration. Here in the States they're usually nailed down and serve no purpose besides decoration while in Europe they actually use them on a daily basis.
So let's bring some function back to shutters, shall we? I love them as a backdrop for a dessert table, displaying photos or simply tucking the escort cards between the slats. But the best part is after the wedding you can hang them on your wall at home and use them as a message board.

  15. Such an easy and lovely idea! Just found dozens of freshly painted, ready to use shutters at an antique fair, and they were only $8 per set. Wonderful, economical solution to the age-old escort card dilemma!
