PRETTY PALETTE | Sweet Conversation

My go to V-day candy has to be conversation hearts...maybe it has to do with my 3rd grade crush Paul giving me a box that I never manage to actually open because I wanted to save it forever lol.  Today's board takes these sweet candies and gives them more of a soft and romantic feel.

Around this time of year as a child growing up in a Portuguese household e-v-e-r-y evening would be capped off with roasted chestnuts. My mother wouldn't let me anywhere near them when she would be prepping them because she was clearly foreseeing the disaster in her oven if I didn't score them correctly but now I look back and miss those simple times and the availability of Jeropiga (a sweet Portuguese liquor) in the household. So since I currently don't own anny Jeropiga...red wine will do.

So yesterday I visited my niece and nephew and I might have raided their stash of Halloween candy (hey...don't judge) when I was there getting my weekly fix of hugs and kisses. But one thing I noticed was after a bit they kept offering me licorice..are you serious guys? Ok well maybe I made a nice little dent in their candy loot. Oops! So I asked them why they weren't eating the licorice and they said that they weren't big fans. So now I'm home with a belly full of licorice and chocolate and skittles and you get where I'm going with this and thought I would create a pretty palette inspired by black licorice to show it some love.
