SIGNATURE SIP | Frank the Rabbit Cocktail

Recipe + Photo |  10th Kitchen

I have to admit I'm a little skeptical of carrots in my cocktail but it is the "sweeter" vegetable that I can convince myself that it's pretty genius idea for a cocktail...and not to mention a little bourbon never hurt.

SIGNATURE SIP | Floral Fizz

Recipe + Photo |  The Good Drink

FLORAL FIZZ

INGREDIENTS

2 oz lavender infused vodka
½ oz elderflower liqueur
½ oz fresh squeezed/strained lemon juice
½ oz hibiscus syrup
¼ oz IPA syrup
3-5 drops rosewater
1 egg white

INSTRUCTIONS

For the lavender infused vodka, add 2 tbsp dried culinary lavender to 1 cup of vodka. Cover and let sit for three hours, stirring occasionally. Strain through a fine mesh sieve lined with cheesecloth or a nut milk bag and store in the fridge.   For the hibiscus syrup, add 1 tbsp hibiscus tea (dried hibiscus leaves) to 1 cup of very hot water. Let stand for 5 minutes, then add 1 cup sugar and stir until combined. Let cool and store in the fridge.   For the IPA syrup, add equal parts (ideally by weight -- use a kitchen scale) IPA beer and sugar in a blender, then blend of high until combined. Store in fridge.   For the cocktail, add all to a shaker with one ice cube, and shake in an oval-like motion until the ice completely dissolves (when you don't hear it rattling inside any more). Pour without a strainer into a large coupe.

SIGNATURE SIP | Rosemary Honey & Grapefruit Spritzer

Photo + Recipe |  Tending the Table

I'm that girl that literally kills every house plant I own.  There's no hope for me at all, and I love my mom for believing that one day I wont overwater or totally neglect the plant. Luckily when it comes to herbs I do pretty well.  So when I come across herb infused cocktail, I get super excited because I can use my fresh herbs.  Today's  signature sip is light and refreshing, perfect to welcoming Spring.

ROSEMARY HONEY & GRAPEFRUIT SPRITZER

INGREDIENTS
2/3 cup honey
4  sprigs rosemary
1 1/4 cups freshly squeezed grapefruit juice (from about 5 grapefruit)
crushed ice
soda water
rosemary sprigs and grapefruit wedges to garnish

INSTRUCTIONS
Combine the honey and rosemary in a small pot and gently heat over medium-low until the honey just begins to bubble around the edges, about 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and let steep for 5-10 minutes. Meanwhile fill 4 glasses with crushed ice. Once the honey has cooled slightly, remove the sprigs of rosemary and transfer 1/4 cup of the infused honey to a jar with a tight fitting lid, add the grapefruit juice and shake vigorously until combined and frothy. Divide the mixture between the glasses and top with soda water. Garnish with rosemary sprigs and grapefruit wedges.
