{#146} the princess diaries

{description} For this week's board I was inspired by the upcoming Royal wedding. It seems that everyone and their mother is excited about tomorrow's nuptials.  I'll confess that I'm not aware of every single detail of the wedding but I did catch a few updates here and there from what guests were invited {hello Mr. Beckham} to what time Prince William will kiss Kate {1:25 London time if you care}.  I know that there are traditions that need to be followed but I'm hoping for some modern and playful touches too {why not the Clarence House is on twitter}! Wouldn't you love to see Kate wearing a gorgeous elaborate feather hair fascinator or do you think she should wear a royal crown?

    I love the colors in this board. I think one day out the year everyone should feel like a princess - I would most definitely decorate the outside of my palace in balloons:) I too am not up to date with all the royal details but I do hope Kate breaks tradition somehow...perhaps feathers in her hair or on her dress (gasp!)..I am excited to see what she wears!

    I haven't kept up entirely either, but I love coming back to the idea of princess/royal touches for weddings. There is a timeless elegance that is irresistible. I especially love the balloons on the palace! Looks like sprinkles :)

    O.M.Goodness Chris ~ this is just fabulous!!! Really, really, really perfect for a royal wedding. Gahh love all the attention to detail on this board ~ the silhouette cookies, the crown, the cake, the place setting are all just perfect!!

    I heard that she may possibly even have flowers in her hair {hello gorgeous!}

    all I am hoping is that one {rumored she might change dresses} of her dresses is designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen

    now debating if I should awake at 4 am to go watch the wedding with my friends in realtime?

    This is beautiful!!! I've gotta say I'm a bit baffled at the obsession over this wedding that I see in the US!! We're under the monarchy but it seems that in the US you're far more 'into it' than we are. Friends in Australia have said the same... not sure why?
